The Northbrook Jr. Bluehawks is a youth ice hockey club for Mite-aged (8 and under) players offering House League and competitive Travel programs. The Jr. Bluehawks are affiliated with the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and AAU Hockey of Illinois, and field teams in the Chicago United Hockey League (CUHL).

Participants in the program need a minimum of the following equipment:

• Hockey helmet with mask
• Hockey gloves
• Elbow pads
• Shoulder Pads
• Hockey Pants
• Shin pads
• Jock or Jill Shorts with velcro for hockey socks
• Hockey Socks (provided for house program)
• Neck guard
• Skates
• Stick
• Jersey (provided for house program)

Royal blue pants and helmets are required when players move to travel.
