TRAVEL Registration will close on Tuesday August 30th. As a reminder, all players must be REGISTERED for Fall Travel prior to attending the preseason clinics and travel tryouts. Players will not be allowed on the ice without a valid registration. Thank you for your cooperation. In addition, all registered Travel Bantam players should attend the preseason clinics as they will include a review of the checking clinics.
Beginning this fall, all Bluehawk travel players will be required to wear NBHL sweat pants and jackets to all games. The Board passed this rule on the recommendation of the coaches. There will be a fitting at Ron's following tryouts.
A House League parents meeting will be held on September 10th at 11am in the Northbrook Sports Center Community Room.

The following are tentative dates for the travel tournaments through December. The tournaments will be finalized once the teams are selected. The dates are being provided now to help ease scheduling concerns.
The Chicago Blackhawks, AHAI, Athletico Physical Therapy and NorthShore University Health System are proud to announce the 6th year of our "A Step aHead" program!
The goal of our program is to educate the youth hockey community on concussion awareness, prevention and treatment as well as to provide FREE baseline neurocognitive testing to AHAI members.
A Step aHead testing is available for AHAI members from PeeWee to Midget/High School (ages 11-18).

Registration is NOW OPEN; testing is available through November 30, 2016.
This year's program will also offer new educational opportunities for both Moms and Dads, Coaches and Players. Stay tuned for additional information.
All NBHL players are required to take a baseline test; complimentary through the A Step aHead program. Click on the logo to launch the registration site.
All Bluehawks are invited to walk in Northbrook's 4th of July Parade with the Northbrook Hockey League. Our group has been assigned entry letter D. On July 4th, our participants should be dropped off at Shannon Road and proceed to the left of Westmoor School, or use the United Methodist Church drop-off (1190 Western Avenue) and proceed to letter D by 2:10 p.m.
Please pick your child up promptly at the Village Green as soon as the Bluehawks complete the parade route.
Remember to wear sunscreen and dress for the weather. See you on the 4th!

Summer break is just around the corner! Below are a few updates and reminders for the summer...
1. The NBHL, Jr Spartan and GBN hockey will walk in the Northbrook 4th of July Parade! All are invited to walk with us! Please check the website for more details as the date approaches.
2. Does your player still need to be fitted for their Fall Travel jersey? If so, contact Arika Siegel at firstname.lastname@example.org.
3. The Northbrook Park District asked us to remind our families about the hockey classes offered this summer at the Sports Center. All classes are taught by NBHL coaches and begin next week. Please see the attached flyer for further information. Also, the Park District hockey day camp begins July 5th. The camp is also coached by NBHL coaches. Please register with the Northbrook Park District. www.nbparks.org
4. Finally, the Bluehawk summer hockey programs begin July 7th. For more information and to register, please see above. for squirts, peewees and bantams.

Additionally, Goalies are encouraged to attend all Skills and Battle sessions for their respective age level. Both events will include the use of pucks and small ice games.
We are posting the Bantam House schedule given it is a joint organization team.

The Bluehawks will offer both Travel and House League programs this Spring and various clinics.
Players must register based on the level they will play for the coming Fall 2016-2017 Season. (ie. 2006-2007=Squirt, 2004-2005=Pewee, 2002-2003=Bantam).

In addition, the Bluehawks will offer pre-season ($75) and Spring break clinics ($40). Checking clinics for Bantams will be held the week of March 7th. Please check back for additional information.
Goalie clinics are included with registration. Age groups will cycle through Thursday evenings at NSIA beginning March 24th.
We will also offer a Spring Girls Clinic ($60).

NEW this fall season..... The Northbrook Hockey League ("NBHL") and Northbrook Park District have joined forces to offer numerous hockey classes: Learn to Skate, Learn to Play, Intro to girls hockey, Pre Mites, and Powerskate classes.
